Photo credit: @FashionValleyMall via Facebook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mall developer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Simon<\/a> has announced plans to develop 850 luxury apartments at Fashion Valley on the site of the JC Penney store that is closing next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re excited about this next phase of Fashion Valley as we continue to reinvest and add a walkable, livable lifestyle community that is intertwined with handpicked luxury brands that can only be found here,\u201d said Mark Silvestri, president of development at Simon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis redevelopment marks a new era of sophistication and convenient living in San Diego,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-webfactory-map\"><div class=\"wp-block-webfactory-map\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Map\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed\/v1\/place?q=JC%20Penny%2C%20Fashion%20Valley%2C%20San%20Diego%2C%20CA&amp;maptype=roadmap&amp;zoom=14&amp;key=AIzaSyBjNFAl388GpmlB5wTeTIyiBzSi1DQcjpg\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Simon is partnering with luxury apartment developer <a href=\"https:\/\/amli.com\/\">AMLI Residential<\/a> on the Mission Valley development, which will include 100,000 square feet of new retail and dining space.
