Photo by Chris Stone<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sales of single-family homes in San Diego County continued to rise in April, along with prices and inventory, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Greater\u00a0San Diego\u00a0Association\u00a0of Realtors<\/a> reported Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The market for previously owned single-family homes in April grew by more than 5% compared to March, and nearly 6% over April 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But sales of condominiums and townhomes fell by 2% month-over-month, and were down about 1% from a year ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The median price of single-family homes in April increased by almost 5% over March, reaching $1.1 million. That\u2019s a 16% increase over April 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Condos and townhomes hit a median price of $685,000, about a 2% increase month-over-month, and a 7% rise from a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the higher prices, the inventory of homes for sale is up dramatically &#8212; nearly 50% more than last year at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur association is excited to see the increase of detached home sales in a year-over-year comparison to 2023,\u201d SDAR President Spencer Lugash said. \u201cAs always, we believe that the desire to live in San Diego County is high, and both the increase in home sales and the high sale prices of these homes are indicative of that demand.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April, the Zip codes in San Diego County with the most single-family home sales were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>92028 (Fallbrook) with 50<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9064 (Poway) with 39<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>92009 (Carlsbad SE) and 92057 (Oceanside North), both with 32<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>92026 (Oceanside East) and 92021 (El Cajon), both with 30<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>29026 (Escondido North) and 92040 (Lakeside), both with 26<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The most expensive single-family property sold last month in San Diego County was Foxhill Estate, one of San Diego\u2019s largest and most historic properties.
